History
In 1897 the New York Skin and Cancer Hospital became a unit of New York Post-Graduate Medical School until 1949, when a merger between Skin and Cancer and New York University made it part of the Department of Dermatology of NYU Medical Center.
Center of Excellence in Cancers of the Skin
The goal of the Center is to bring together individuals working on issues of fundamental importance to the biological underpinnings and clinical management of diseases caused by the malignant transformation of cells that reside in the skin.

Our Doctors are committed to providing the highest quality of individualized care to our patients with skin disorders. This entails the application of the newest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases in an atmosphere of compassion and respect.
