The NYU School of Medicine Pediatric Dermatology Associates is a professorial practice dedicated to the treatment of diseases affecting the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes of children. Drs. Seth J. Orlow and Julie V. Schaffer are widely-recognized leaders in this subspecialty and have contributed greatly to the understanding and treatment of both common and rare illnesses affecting children through their ongoing research and teaching. In addition to Board Certification in Dermatology, our faculty are specially trained and are also certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties as Pediatric Dermatologists.

In addition to serving as the primary dermatologic diagnostician and caregiver, our faculty are often called upon as consultants to other providers who wish to gain another opinion on diagnosis or management.
